Come Say Your Peace: in a Ted Talk style series of events we ask-
What can the rest of the world learn from kindness in our community? What can our community learn from the world we don’t know?
These are troubling times. We have all been affected by recent horrific acts carried out by a tiny minority of people who want to spread fear, hate and division across our nation. We are also continuing to experience an unprecedented reduction in funding to local services.
However, there is still a huge amount of great and positive work happening in our communities. Often this great work happens at a very local level, and does not attract the attention and recognition it deserves. But these small acts of community and compassion are the threads that hold our communities together. We think it is important – now more than ever – that we do all we can to celebrate the good things that are happening.
Say Your Peace gives us the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate a few examples of;
- People working together, not for their own benefit, but to help others in need.
- People working to build understanding between people, offer friendship and resolve conflict.
- People who show us the power of kindness.
- People who bring us hope.
We hope that you are able to join us for an evening of hope and inspiration on June 22nd, 17.30 – 19.00 hrs @ Broadacre House, Market Street, Newcastle. Please follow this link to book your place https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/say-your-peace-tickets-34066200924?aff=eand
